Great book with coverage of numerous topics.
This book is one of the most thorough that I have read on landscape photography. It includes the typical sections on equipment, exposure, composition, filters and special techniques (HDR, panos, etc.). It also includes chapters on post processing and printing which are typically overlooked by many books in this genre. The use of color calibration of monitors and soft proofing images prior to printing can save amateur photographers time, money and frustration. They are techniques that are readily available, but which are unknown or unused by many. Finally, Chapter 10 provides several “Creative Assignments” which challenge readers to utilize the information that was presented in the book.Well worth the investment in time and money.

Has great ideas
This book is excellent but it is slightly behind in the technology that it explains. It most likely needs an updating for what cameras and lenses can do today. Otherwise it is very good.

For landscape beginners a must have
This was a badly chosen gift as I have more than 50 years experiance as a photographer including 30 as a professional.Having said that I still learned a few things from these guys. I think it is an excellant learning aid for anybody starting out in landscape work and I would have appreciated it more 15 years ago.It is nice to look at,well laid out and easy to understand with nice pics.I am really pleased I got it. Mine came from Amazon com where it is well priced.I think the £27 asking price in the UK for a soft cover book is far to much no matter how good.I highly recommend this to all budding landscape shooters. The landscape photography workshop
I found this book to be very informative and clear.. I have always wondered how they pull off those beautiful shots and this book was a great place to start.. It covers creative technique, composition, lighting and all of the stuff in between. Like others have said in the reviews im sure if you are an advanced photographer or professional (landscape photog) anyway this book wouldn't be #1 on your list BUT im sure there is still some helpful info within as this book covers some often overlooked topics and problem areas.. I would consider my self an intermediate photographer who wants to expand my landscape photo knowledge and kick up my landscape photography game and this book was a fantastic starting place...Amateurs- if you are interested in outdoor photography and or landscapes buy this book it is clear and not to complicated (as all photo books should be IMO) you will surely learn some great stuffintermediate- I would still recommend this book as it was loaded with excellent information and great insight on how to capture truly fantastic landscape photos!Advanced/pros - if you are at this level then you probably aren't searching high and low for how to books BUT.. this book has plenty of great info and is absolutely worth the read.. I didn't feel like they held back with the tips or info as many photography books do..Where you feel as if the author doesn't want to let you know everything as you may someday surpass them.. i didn't get that feeling from this book overall i thought it was excellent and definitely worth the read..

Beautiful
This is a beautiful book with much information for an amateur photog like myself to learn. I'm barely into it and have learned quite a bit already.

Good, but not for advanced photographers
Not as good as I had hoped. Much like many other books on the subject. I was hoping for more advanced techniques and ways to capture tough scenes. Much of the book is on the basics that any mid-level experienced photographer probably already knows.
