As I turned 60 this year I thought I should start a skincare regime. I watched Countless FB reels and found that this is a product that dermatologists recommend. I was looking for something that would help brighten my skin while giving all the benefits of Vitamin B12, Hyaluronic Acid, and the Tranexamic Acid and I figured this one thing had more bang for my buck. I used it religiously and it works, but I fell off for about a month ago and can certainly tell the difference. I will be starting back with my routine tomorrow. You won't go wrong with this serum.

I’ve tried many different big-brand niacinimide formulations and Anua’s 10% niacinimide serum is my all-time favorite. I noticed a difference within 2 uses and a significant evening of my skin texture within 4 months. I used to have a light scar on my cheek but over 1 year of using this serum, that scar completely healed and smoothed out my skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated with a natural glow after use.

This is a great product overall. To start off, I gradually integrated this serum into my skincare routine out of fear of upsetting the delicate balance of my combination skin - one drop every other day. In the first 2-4 weeks, I would see some small white heads here and there. When this happened, I'd minimize the amount of product used each day and/or the frequency in which I used it. 4 months in, I'm starting to experience some positive results.For starters, my skin tone has evened out overall. No more dark patches or spots. If I get a pimple, it clears, with minimal PIH. After a week or two, the spot is gone. Additionally, this serum helped me clear my combination dark circles (excess pigmentation and slight hollowness). Presently, I add three drops to my under eye area before using a topical retinol. I found this method to be a better course of treatment than OTC eye creams who advertise fixing this issue. Why? Because I was slowly able to customize the amount of niacinamide added to my under eyes over time, rather than shocking this skin with a new product all together.I don't like how this product is advertised by influencers - using two droppers full on the face in one sitting. I've found that if too much product is used on my skin, it becomes extremely sticky and uncomfortable. Half a dropper is enough when paired with consistency. Also, this serum has a higher concentration of niacinamide. So if you use other products with high concentrations, it could cause some irritation, inflammation, and hyper pigmentation. Hence, why I started low and slow.For full transparency, below is my skincare routine. I'm finally able to phase out make up, favoring tinted skin care products. But the key was going slowly with each product, adding one at a time and monitoring changes throughout my menstrual cycle.AM- Panoxyl (4%)- 10% Azelaic Acid- 2-3 drops of this serum- H.A. I’ve dealt with dark spots for about 6-7 years and all though makeup can cover it up. I’ve at that stage in my life where I want to cut back on makeup. Of course I am self conscious because of my spots so I looked into Korean skincare and was recommended niacinamide serum. I have been applying this product to my face every other evening for 3 months now and have seen the biggest difference. Working for a dermatologist I know that anything new you use on your face, your face will have to adapt and it could take anywhere from 2-3 months to see a difference. I use this product every other night because when I use my retinol ointment and then apply this it burns. But I have noticed how my pore size has changed, the darkness has faded some, and my skin glows. This product doesn’t have a scent which I love because most products do and I’m not a fan. I will say when I apply this product I pat it into my skin and it is sticky the more you pat.
