I'm not entirely sure how I went from being the cool kid in Yahoo chatrooms to ordering worm castings off the internet, but here I am, and honestly? No regrets.These Brut Worm Farms castings are pure plant magic. My green babies are thriving—lush, vibrant, and acting like they just got promoted to a sunnier windowsill. I love that I get all the benefits of worm poop without having to actually meet the worms. It just magically appears on my doorstep like the weirdest and most wonderful gift from the gardening gods.It mixes well with soil, doesn’t smell like death (a real concern, let’s be honest), and gives me just enough of a boost in plant parent confidence to consider worm composting someday. Is this gateway poo? Possibly.Anyway, five stars from me—and my very happy plants.

I have bought this several times over the past year. This has been a great addition to my gardening. I use this to add to coco coir mix, or into establish potted veggies plants that need a bit of nutrients, or directly into ground soil/raised beds. Multipurpose worm compost that works well! Plants are growing great. Harvest is mighty. I always buy this whenever I run out.

I am in awe how quickly my seedlings grew using these worm castings. So easy to use, just apply a handful of castings to your pot or plants and scratch the castings in and then water. You will be very surprised how quickly your plants or seedlings grow.I was so impressed after using the first bag of 30 pounds of castings, I ordered another bag. I will not be without this brand of worm castings. This will be the main fertilizer for my plants from now on. I truly love it.

So I am going to begin by talking about price: This sack of poop might seem expensive, but it’s actually in line with other offerings out there (both here on Amazon and at your local garden store).Any of you who regularly buy this compost have probably noticed that the price of worm castings fluctuates as much as the stock market. I bought this product because its major competitor here on Amazon, Wiggle Worm, experienced a particularly high spike. (I have actually bought Wiggle Worm 14 times starting in 2015 and as recently 2021.). The most I paid (after sales tax of 7%) was $42.15… which certainly felt like price gouging.So … I gave this brand a try. I was very pleased that I did. It is that rich black organic matter that I am very familiar with. Clearly there were no additives, it was completely pure. It had no odor (exactly as it should be).Something I read in the recent reviews of Wiggle Worm earthworm castings was that evidently they have been putting additives in their mix. Folks were even posting pictures of what the mixture looked like. Frankly, that spooked me. I think, even if Wiggle Worm does come back down in price, I might not buy from them based on those reviews that were backed up by photos. To make things worse, some reviewers said their bags contained gnats. — Listen, I have always loved Wiggle Worm, but business is business.If you happen to use the Square Foot Gardening method, this definitely could be used as one of your five composts to create your “soil” mixture. I use it for exactly that. However, I do also use it as a ground soil amendment . It’s remarkably versatile. It helps to give your soil medium the “friable” texture that is ideal for plant growth and plant health.Overall, this is an excellent product. I highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous customer service. Seller provided excellent communication regarding shipping and when there was a minor issue, resolved it instantly. Product is gorgeous--deep black and granular with no fillers. Will definitely purchase this product from this seller again.

Really good for the price. Fresh, correct moisture and texture. I’ve had better but twice the price.

Great product. I put it in my raised bed along with some other plant goodies. Too soon to know the benefits, but it definitely helps the soil condition.
