Worth the money
I was really questioning what flavor to order and even questioning if I should try this as I read a variety of complaints about different flavors/taste and the price is a bit high. I ended up going with the "unflavored" and absolutely love it! I have no idea what people are complaining about and I'm even picky when it comes to the taste/consistency of protein powders. I blend it with milk and frozen berries to make a smoothie in the mornings and can't taste it at all. I run it through a blender and don't notice any clumping or weird textures in the smoothie. The price is a bit high, but for good clean ingredients and the simplicity of getting a tasty high protein in the morning, it's actually worth it to me.

Be Well customer service is amazing!
FINAL UPDATE:Okay Be Well has made me a customer for life. The fact that they were willing to send me a new product to try for free sold me on their customer service, but the Unflavored protein powder (my replacement) is incredible. I used it in overnight oats and would have NO idea that there’s protein powder in it. If you’re sensitive to sweetness I would not recommend the Vanilla, but the Unflavored is amazing!UPDATE:So I just want to update my review to 5 stars because I think the customer service of this company is top notch. Within 24 hours of my review posting the company reached out to me and offered me a refund and a complementary replacement flavor. I decided to try the unflavored and will update if necessary. But honestly 10/10 on customer service. It’s rare a company goes so far above and beyond to insure their customers are satisfied with a product.ORIGINAL:So I’ve been trying this protein powder for a few months now and at first I thought this is just how protein powder is supposed to taste, but after looking at reviews again I think it’s just not for me. I’m guessing it’s the monk fruit extract? It’s unbearably sweet, and if I’m using it for anything other than smoothies I can’t stomach the taste. I love the simple ingredients, but I cannot stand the taste. It doesn’t taste like vanilla, it tastes like sweet chalk.

Maybe the grossest thing I’ve ever eaten
It doesn’t mix with water? So you end up with chunks like wet peanut butter floating in gelatinous soup. The “vanilla” flavor kind of reminds me of chocolate, but with broth up front. The aftertaste is metallic. 5 minutes after I opened it, I wish I could have my money back. Is this product a prank? How could someone sell this to innocent people? It’s inhumane.UPDATE: I just learned from this company that this is not AT ALL a “beef” protein product. It’s just collagen / bone broth protein, so this is false advertising and you are probably entitled to a refund if it was sold to you as “beef”. Here is their response to my question about the source:“This protein powder is not derived from dehydrated meat that is then ground into a fine powder. Our unique grass-fed beef protein isolate is derived from the extracted protein and amino acids from the fleshy bones, tendons, and joints of hormone- and antibiotic-free animals. As such, much of the naturally-occurring collagen inherent in these parts of the animal makes up a significant portion of the final finished powder.“Please find the typical amino acid profile below:“Typical Amino Acid Profile (Per Serving):Alanine 2.1gArginine 1.8gAspartic Acid 1.4gCystine <0.1Glutamic Acid 2.6gGlycine 4.8gHistidine 2.6gHydroxyproline 2.5gIsoleucine 0.4gLeucine 0.9gLysine 0.9gMethionine 0.2gPhenylalanine 0.6gProline 2.9gSerine 0.8gThreonine 0.5gTryptophan 0.1gTyrosine 0.3gValine 0.7g

Great taste, super clean
First impression review - pretty damn good! I've been using a plant based protein (pea) for many many years now. At the time I started using pea protein there weren't really a lot of clean beef protein options out there and really - it just wasn't an option I thought existed. I've since learned some things and I know that pea protein can be hard to digest for some people and I was getting really tired of the taste of mine so wanted to make the switch. Finding a clean protein powder is really hard. I was specifically looking for grass fed, no stevia, no natural flavors - and hopefully tasting good. I find artificial sweeteners pretty intolerable in protein powders because most just taste SO fake and give the smoothie an overly sweet flavor. I want my smoothie to taste like fruit and food - not fake sugar. The flavor of this one is great - the sweetness is really mild and doesn't overpower the drink at all. As far as the texture - I think it's important to note how exactly you want to use this powder. A lot of people expect to use protein powders in a shaker cup or even with a little drink mixer/frother thing but I think those methods work best for powders that have been formulated for that and have ingredients to make it smooth and super fine. I suspect maybe some people who had clumping are using those methods. With a powder as clean as this one - you can probably expect a different outcome. I make smoothies in a nutribullet with other ingredients like almond milk, fruit, chia seeds, etc and the texture turned out fine - just a little thicker than my usual pea protein so I think I will have to adjust the liquid content. I'm super happy with the flavor and I love that this is such a clean product.
