The more I listened to this speaker, the more I liked it. The speaker itself has good sound for it's size. It equals or exceeds some of the mini-speakers I have bought in the past. Some of the reviewers complained about the FM reception. If you plug in a usb cable into the usb/aux jack it assists the FM reception as described in the User manual. All in all it is a good choice for the money in my opinion.

Not happy with this at all
The point was the Bluetooth function which never worked. The light blink at some trippy, random rhythm that is super annoying, and when you turn it on, the menu is insanely loud. One star because it looks cute when it's not on. Did I mention the obnoxious lights? Yeah, this was definitely a bad purchase.

NO! Do not waste your money
I'm the guru of wireless/bluetooth speakers. I can't even count how many of them I have around my house. Multiple different manufacturers, and they're all either connected via aux jack (on older devices) or paired via bluetooth (on newer devices). This is the ONE AND ONLY speaker that I've purchased that:1. Will not pair via bluetooth to an iPhone XR. I've tried over and over and over and all I hear is "Bluetooth Mode" repeated endlessly while my phone spins and spins and cannot connect. Restarted phone, turned off bluetooth mode, turned it back on, turned the speaker back on -- nothing worked.2. Will not transmit sound via an aux cable to an older iPod Classic (no bluetooth available). Tried multiple times with no success.3. Came with absolutely abysmal instructions that appeared to be written by a third grader.4. Has no discernible way to determine if the speaker is charging or not (no indicator lights whatsoever). Are you really supposed to look through the speaker to determine if there is a red glow in there showing it's charging? Really??Yes, I know I purchased this over six months ago and saved it in its box until I needed it (I tend to do that), but after 6 hours of charging and multiple attempts to connect it to a device, all I get is "Bluetooth Mode" repeatedly and glowing lights that change colors. Other portable speakers I've purchased have connected and are still working or have worked for at least several months before I ditched them. This one won't even work from the get-go.Waste of money. Total waste of money.Edit: Since I wrote my initial review, I have tried endlessly to get this speaker to connect to ANY bluetooth device to see if it actually works. Will not connect to iPhone XR, iPad mini, iPad pro, iMac, iPhone 6, Samsung Android phone. Nothing! Nada. Zip. Zilch. Argh! What a waste of money!

Quite good for the price.
In the few days I’ve had this speaker, each function I’ve tried has worked well, considering the price. Other users’ comments about the manual and the loud startup voice are right on. However, once I got to where I could almost understand what the manual is trying to say it had correct info. I have a workaround for the loud startup voice, read on. The multipurpose cable supplied is a charge cable, stereo input connector, and FM antenna. These functions worked for me, though the clearances for both the USB/AUX and the stereo plugs are so tight you have to work to be sure they’re plugged all the way in. That seemed to get easier after a time or two. You might have to file off or shave the plastic around the plugs a bit to make an easier fit. There’s no logical reason for the startup voice to be as loud as it is, but there’s no adjustment for it. Once you’ve got the unit into the mode you want, you can change the volume, but not during startup or mode changing. The workaround I use is to plug a set of earphones into the headphone jack before turning the unit on. (Or just use a spare headphone plug itself if you don’t want to carry around a set of headphones.) When I want to go to FM mode, for example, I plug in the headphones, turn on the unit, wait a few seconds for the startup announcement to finish, then press the M (Mode) button slowly, three times. The unit cycles from BT to AUX to FM and so on. Wait a couple of seconds after each press for the unit to catch up with you. Then unplug the headphones. Sound quality is pretty good and I usually have to turn the sound down for comfort, so no complaints here about the unit having low volume. The FM radio remembers the station you last used. You need to plug the multifunction cable into the USB/AUX port as an antenna, as the manual tells you. At first I thought the FM didn’t work; all I got was a rushing noise. I had to long-press the play/pause button to start the scan for stations. Once I figured that out the rest of the tuning went as the manual says. Bluetooth connection was easy and fairly quick with my Windows10 tablet. The unit comes on in pairing mode, ready to connect if your phone or laptop is also ready. I haven’t tried BT with other sources but I assume the experience will be the same. Instead of BT, you can use the cable plugged into your sound source like any extension speaker. I haven’t tried the larger USB port or the MicroSD slot. I can’t comment on battery life. I gave it a full charge at the start and It’s still running on that. Rechargeable batteries usually get better after a few discharge/charge cycles so I’m hoping that’s true here too. The flashing color LEDs: useless and stupid. Besides adding to the battery load, they make an otherwise nice looking unit seem like it was designed for a child. Thank goodness they’re inside the unit rather than outside. Other than that, all in all I’m happy with my little stereo hockey puck.

Good little speaker
I bought this to listen to youtube music because my phone is not very loud.It is very cute and I really like the blinking lights. It is small enough to keep in my purse and take it with me.I wished it was a little louder...so when I cleaned my house I could hear it louder...but sitting in the same room...it is great. If your looking for bose... this is not for you...but if you want something louder than your phone or computer...this little speaker is not only cute...but much louder than my phone or computer.I would recommend it...teenagers and kids would like it..the changing colors...long battery life...and very easy to use.

Five Stars
This is a Great Speaker, at first, but when turning on is very loud and makes it difficult while working in an office as well as after charging all night and the the next morning playing an hour of music it continueusly turns off.

My first Bluetooth. I may another just because it's such a cool thing.
Good little speaker. I wish it was just a little bit louder, but it's adequate for my needs, I can hear it just fine. The flashing lights are interesting, though if I could shut them off to add to the battery life that would be a plus. I haven't tried the FM feature, and will edit this review once I do.All in all, a very good quality speaker that does exactly what it is meant to do, and looks great doing it. The 5 hour battery life per charge is spot on accurate as well.
