Q: If it doesn't have any lure then why does the box say it 'attracts' flies? How can it attract without a lure? I want to know if it has a lure.

Thank you so much for your question. The box does not say it attracts flies. The box states "Traps Flies, Gnats, Moths, and Other Flying Insects." The Fly Ribbon does not contain a lure, it is made with a strong adhesive meant to trap flying insects.

Q: Does it catch fruit fly?

Does it ever! I hung two by my bowl of bananas and apples for a couple of days, and I counted 50+ on one of the tapes. There's at least that many on the other.

Q: How do I heat them if I forgot to do it before using?

I've never heated these and I use them in all ambient temperatures. Just put the loop around your index finger and slowly and steadily lightly pull the cylinder away from your finger while slowly twisting the cylinder to unwind the ribbon. if I have the loop around my right index finger as I recall, I think I rotate the the cylinder away from me to unwind the ribbon. I've never had any issues in any ambient temperature doing it this way. A little extra force when the ribbon is nearly all out will pull all of it from the cylinder. The ribbon will be mostly flat after a day or so, if it is not flat immediately. I've gone through five or six full boxes of these ribbons over the past couple of years and this works every time.

I keep70%, 91% alcohol on hand( dollar store, sorry Amazon) googone and nail polish remover, one always does the trick based on your skin at the time , then wash with Dawn
