Nubian HeritageBody Lotion, Coconut and Papaya, 13 Fl Oz

Smells like YUM! Winnie the Pooh would love it! Really thick, natural lotion with no chemical or petroleum based additives. I mix this lotion easily with various other products to 'spread the smell' and it adds luxurious quality to any natural shea salve. Nubian Heritage is the most amazing natural shea product line I've encountered. I do make all my own salves for healing various skin maladays and allergic reactions but keep coming back to NH for their lotions and soaps. This is my only store-bought lotion now. It smells amazing..drives my boyfriend crazy..heals eczema and psoriasis...heals ingrown hairs and razor bumps..is an amazing facial moisturizer (though I choose NH honey or vetiver Salve for my eczematic face), and prevents skin drying out from construction work, gardening, sawdust, concrete...basically it is just awesome and will replace everything you have for moisturizers in the future. Try the soap and salve too!!!!!

I love this lotion. I have very sensitive skin and this is so thick and creamy my skin loves it! That said, I've gone through 3 bottles, and 1 of them was so thick I had to take the cap off and dig the lotion out, it wouldn't squeeze through. A problem I will gladly deal with to not have dry, irritated skin. I have tried the Honey and Black Seed, and the Coconut and Papaya scents. Both are wonderful! Honey is a little more perfume-y and the coconut is fruity and sweet.

I love this lotion! The first thing i noticed was that it had shea butter as the first ingredient, when most other lotions water is the foremost ingredient and that impressed me. I also loved everything else in it so i decided to give it a try and i'm so happy i did. I really love it. I've had a problem with dry skin and this stuff moisturizes it so well!! It is thick and creamy and it smells great. I will definitely be buying more of this and also trying the other one's as well.

This is a very nice lotion. The consistency is quite thick and rich, which means you actually need less to cover more area and get positive results. The trade-off is that this lotion is so thick that is can be difficult to get out of the bottle. I have arthritis, and I can already tell that there will be days that this lotion will be more effort than I can manage. Someone else recommended storing the bottle upside down, and I think that's probably a good idea. It might also help to store the bottle in a slightly warmer area.I had hoped for a little better absorption rate from an olive oil lotion, but I expect that it is the result of the other oils used (cocoa seed butter, shea butter, avocado, vegetable glycerin and emulsifying wax). It does leave a slightly greasy feel for a few minutes. I wish they had shown a photo of the ingredients label. The greasy feel wears off quickly and doesn't leave any "tackiness" behind or leave the skin feeling stiff or overloaded, as some other thick lotions I have tried. That's a plus.The Nubian Heritage lotion I purchased is marketed as "Olive Oil and Green Tea" lotion, so it was a little disappointing to find that green tea is the last ingredient on the list. For the record, the ingredients list is:"Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil*, Deionized Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Stearyl Alcohol (Palm Kernel), Vegetable Emulsifying Wax, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Essential Oil Blend, Vegetable Glycerin, Carbomer, Avocado Oil, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower (and) Lonicera Japonica (Japanese Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Allantoin (Comfrey Root) Extract, Green Tea Extract" *Certified Organic IngredientsThe scent is... odd. Some of the descriptions I read in reviews prior to purchasing this lotion were "light", "floral", "subtle" and "clean". Now, I am not likely to ever be accused of being a "girly girl" or anything close to it and I don't care for heavy scents or perfumes in my lotions, but I do like my lotion to leave me feeling and smelling nice. Maybe it is me, but I wouldn't describe the scent of this lotion as light or subtle, and definitely not floral. If anything, it is a bit woodsy, which wouldn't be bad... if it weren't the kind of "woodsy" scent celebrated by the folks who brought us"Deep Woods OFF!" It is not really overpowering or particularly unpleasant, but it is distinct and it does last. I can shower, apply the lotion, sit down to dinner and a movie, and still smell that "bug spray" scent when I go to bed a few hours later. For that reason, I will probably not purchase this olive oil and green tea lotion again. However, the feel and results are so nice that I will probably try one of the other Nubian Heritage lotion.

I am in loooooove with this lotion! Yes, the price is a tad high for lotion, but it is so worth it. I have sensitive skin, and the nubian heritage line has always done well for me. The scent is pleasing, the formula is thick, non greasy and moisturizing, and the ingredients are simple, which I like. The brand is also cruelty free, which is a great thing to invest your money in.

Hands down the best lotion out there. Not to mention the perfect cali girl year round scent. I get stopped everywhere i go, people either comment on how great my sk8n is or how wonderful i smell. I use this all over, even on my hair as a defrizzer. Its thicker but thats a plus i use less and it lasts longer. My only complaint is they dont offer more nubian heritage products, i want a sunscreen line just saying;)

This is a very thick, but lovely lotion- it is not greasy at all, absorbs quickly into the skin, and leaves skin smooth and soft for days. It's best applied after a bath or shower, to slightly damp skin. It smells nice, though is not a strong scent, nor is it overpowering to any perfume or other scents one might use as well. This truly feels like it nourishes your skin!

If you are looking for a super thick coating lotion - this is it. The winters here get cold and super dry! The average lotion just doesn't cut it. We have been using this for a few weeks now and I love it. It smells great and it actually works! I will use this all year round - not just for winter. You put it on once and unless you wash it off, your skin stays moisturized.
