Soundcore Boom 2 by Anker – A Versatile Bluetooth Powerhouse
The Soundcore Boom 2 by Anker is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a powerful and reliable Bluetooth speaker that performs equally well indoors and outdoors. With features like 80W output, a dedicated subwoofer, and BassUp 2.0 technology, the sound quality is rich, full, and surprisingly deep for a portable speaker. One of the standout qualities is its versatility. Whether you're camping, hanging out at the beach, or just relaxing in the backyard with friends, the Boom 2 fits right in. It’s IPX7 waterproof and even floats, so you don’t have to worry about water damage or accidental drops in the pool. The 24-hour playtime means the party doesn’t have to stop, and the RGB lights add a fun, customizable touch to the vibe.I also appreciate the USB-C charging, Bluetooth 5.3 for stable connections, and the ability to tailor the sound with the custom EQ in the app. The size is just right — not too bulky, but not so small that it sacrifices sound performance. It’s easy to carry or throw in a bag for on-the-go use.Overall, I’d highly recommend the Soundcore Boom 2 to anyone in the market for a high-performance Bluetooth speaker. It's rugged, feature-packed, and delivers impressive audio no matter where you are.

Punches way above it's weight class
I find it hard to believe there's a better speaker in this price range. I own JBL flip 5, 6 and 7 and charge 4 and 5. I love JBL but their not in the same conversation as the boom 2. The fact that I got this on sale cheaper than a flip 7 blows my mind. This boom 2 punches so far above it's weight class. The amount of bass it puts out is amazing honestly. What sets it apart is the soundcore app. The ability to fully customize the EQ pushes it over the top. I prefer the design over the motion boom which I also own. The lights are a super nice touch, with multiple settings and colors. The portability of this speaker combined with the sound it puts out moves is fantastic. If your on the fence about this speaker, do yourself a favor and click buy, you will not regret it.

Good speaker.
Easy to use, connects to you're device quickly and efficiently. Can't speak on the waterproof-ness of it as I don't use it in wet areas. Has good bass to it and is relatively loud for what it is. I'm happy with it overall. The charging speed takes a few hours depending on how low it gets. The batter does last quite awhile but would be nice if it lasted as long as it claims to. I think it said 28-34 hours on a full charge. Which sure, if you don't use it that long. I can charge it, use it for an hour or two and shut it off and then use it for a few mins (20-30) at a time, it'll last a couple days. But as far as continuous play, maybe 4-6 hours max. But it's still a decent speaker for what it is, and half the cost of name brands like JBL or others.

What a find
Honestly for the price, this is an amazing speaker… They could price this for $250 and it’d be worth it. Download the app, find the sound settings you like, and it’s seriously impressive. Clear sound, bass is amazing, battery lasts a long time. I put it up against the big JBL boombox that cost $500 - the JBL may have a little more bass and loudness, but for the cost difference, it’s not a lot. They also offer this speaker in a plus version that’s geared to compete more with that JBL boombox, I believe that’s around $220 and it seems it may exceed it.

Impressive Speaker
I work as a grill cook, which means I’m in a very noisy environment. So I need a speaker that is very loud. And I can say this speaker gets very loud for its size, but is never harsh on the ears, like some other speakers which leave an almost ringing in your ears after a high note. And it does not distort at max volume which is a plus for me.I used to have a 50w Rave Neo from soundcore, until recently when I sold it to a coworker who was in need of a good speaker. I had it for nearly 5 years. When I had it, I was constantly getting compliments on how impressive that speaker sounded. So I decided to buy another speaker from Anker since it’s quality I can trust.Comparing to the 50w Rave Neo, both with bass boost, and boom 2 out of box sound profile. The boom 2 gets louder than the rave Neo, however gets a little “muddier” at high volumes, while the rave Neo keeps a fuller sound. Probably due to the fact the boom 2 is missing a full range driver, and only has tweeters and a racetrack “subwoofer”. However does not matter in my use case. The battery life seems the same, after 3 hours of use at high volumes with bass on, I only used 40% of the battery on the boom 2, while I also used 40% of the rave Neo. Portability goes to the Boom 2. It is only the length of a ruler, height of 3/4 of a ruler, and is fairly slim. so it fits on any standard sized table easily, it also weighs less than half what the rave Neo weighs. The rave Neo felt like a workout carrying it work, while the boom 2 is easily carried by one finger. I also give appearances to the boom 2. The metal grill on the boom 2 feels very rugged and is much superior to the metal grill on the rave Neo. Both plastics feel the same as well, however it does seem the boom 2 is more vulnerable to scuffs and marks as I already have a scuff on the boom 2 with only 3 hours of use, while I have never gotten a scuff on the rave Neo. The LIGHTSHOW. The boom 2 is amazing to watch as it lights up and moves the radiators to the music. Very nice touch since I never really enjoyed the lights on the rave Neo. The rave Neo was also impressive, but the diffusion on the boom 2 looks very premium. Charging. Both charge with an input of usb type c. However, with the rave Neo, you had to use a usb type A charging block, which was super annoying because I have been trying to get away from usb type a, and micro usb. Type c charging blocks and cords are worlds superior. And the boom 2 can charge from any type c charging block.Sound. The boom 2 is loud. It is not audiophile quality. But if you plan on sticking it in the corner of the room or on the outside of a basketball court, you might not feel or hear every instrument or every vocal chord in a singers throat, but I guarantee you will be satisfied with the volume of music you are receiving from this speaker, which does sound very pleasant at least, which is what this speaker is meant to do. Get loud, so you can listen to music while you are doing other activities. I highly recommend higher end soundcore speakers, can’t go wrong.
