This is not made to pick up leaks during a home inspection. What would be more appropriate is a gas leak detector with GOOSE NECK. The gas leak detector is more sensitive (in ppm) range where this detector is a LEL % detector, for exposure safety purposes.

Q: Is there a calibration kit available?

The detector comes with a calibration cap to be plugged into calibration gas. For calibration, a standard mixed gas NIST gas bottle with a regulator will work very well.
