Great for Upper Body Strengthing
I was reminded of this item after shaking drink mixes in a 2 quart bottle. Laugh if you will, but it does give one an upper body workout. For my personal needs, I wish the handle had some padding to cushion the hands. I'm now using padded gloves and that helps a lot.As some have mentioned, the CD that comes with it is warped and cannot be played. It was just laid on top of the Shake Weight when packed, with no one thinking forward to realize the box would not stay in the same position forever. When it was shipped, stacked, packed, etc., the CD ends up on the side or bottom with (in this case) 4 pounds laying on it. Yep, it's gonna warp.

Best addition for time-poor professionals
I love this shaker because it allows me to do a little exercise while either on a call or reading a lengthy case brief. Combined with my rowing machine, this is the perfect addition to any time-poor professionals' workout regime. Thank you.

More than meets the eye!
I got this mainly out of curiosity. It’s been around for years, and I have never used one.First, the design makes it easy to hold onto. The grip area is more than wide enough to fit two hands, even if you have big hands. One end has the light indicator, and this is held facing you. (This is what changes color depending on how hard you’re working.)The workout in its entirety (6 minutes plus advanced), is under 10 minutes. Don’t be fooled. Sweat happens.I think it’s because the movement is so focused, and the core is (should be) engaged. My upper body is pretty weak, and so while I am fairly fit, this workout is not easy. I am glad it’s only 6-10minutes! For someone who has been doing upper body/ weight lifting, it may not be as challenging, but I think it’s really good even as a light day workout. Now while I don’t have awesome biceps yet, I AM seeing a change. Fairly certain there’s half an inch to an inch loss in my bicep area. If that’s what happens in a couple of weeks, then I think the Shake weight will be my new best friend! The only negative I have personally seen, is that sometimes the green light doesn’t stay lit, and sometimes I am pretty sure I should be in the red zone, and it doesn’t change. Maybe a little technical issue with Connection? Other than that, it gives a great workout, and takes up very little room!

You really can’t go wrong here
Honestly I love this lol. I’ve wanted one forever because it looks like an easy way to get some arm muscle tone! So I finally got it. It’s easy to use and hold and the weights are appropriate for beginners but they’re also not too light. It’s the perfect little thing. I actually had used it daily for about a week and decided to run it by my doctor who’s treating me for MCTD and a spine injury, my care is natural based and relies on my determination to rebuild and strengthen muscles in my shoulder panel and around my spine. Believe it or not, he said this was absolutely fine to use in conjunction with my PT routine. I have used light weights for my shoulder exercises about a year ago but one arm was so weak, and it was embarrassing because I look totally normal. But to watch my arm shake so heavily with a oneLb weight was scary enough to make me realize how much of my healing is my footwork. So a year later I’m stronger and dedicated and my lifestyle has been “healthy living” for 3 years. I know this 1 item isn’t solving my problems but I got it thinking what’s the harm - and it not only is something I was immediately consistent with but that also was a positive addition to my physical therapy / exercise. This product is totally worth the money, exactly as described and it also comes with pretty detailed literature about how to use it and properly at that with some work out recommendations. I was really pleased with this. I’m also so happy that it’s white and not some neon color or something that would stick out like a sore thumb when you store it! 5 stars xo

DVD doesn't work
The actual product is good, but it comes with a DVD to show you how to use it and, supposedly, some workouts, but because of the way it was put in the box with the weight, the DVD is bent; therefore, will not play. So I'm uncertain of how to actually use it which is frustrating.
