Got this for the Mrs as she said she wanted a natural charcoal face cleaning product.Once she put it on her face she felt an intense burning sensation, she started to try to wash it off but found it impossible. After spending a long time scrubbing her skin was still on fire, aloe Vera gel helped with the pain but the colour just doesn't come off.Even 2 days later she has what looks like a patchy bad fake tan, black hands and a black line around her hairline. She is afraid to go outside incase someone thinks she has been in blackface, our sink is still black even after thorough cleaning and somehow it's all my fault. So thanks for that.Avoid this product.

Bit difficult to mix in but when mixed it's applied very nicely and smoothly too the skin. BUT IT LITERlly doesn't come off. It's dyed my eyebrows, my boyfriends beard and made him have a giant dirty monobrow. Hilarious at the time but now I have a baby faced boyfriend with a damn mono brow.

Activated Charcoal has a lot of uses, such as in face masks or for teeth whitening.The product is messy as shown by other users, but just take some precautionary steps and you can minimise this.**TIP -- Use paper towels to cover the area you will place/work with the charcoal **There are many tutorials on youtube and websites etc that give instructions on uses etc; I would recommend looking these up before using the product.As a naturally existing substance Charcoal really is amazing and I would definitely recommend its use.

Awful. Makes an insane mess. the only reason your skin is 'clean' is because you have to scrub it raw to get it off. it goes everywhere so i've had to scrub my entire body raw and i'm now red and sore. a relaxed bath evening also turned into scrubbing down the entire bathroom as this flakes everywhere the minute it dries. absolutely horrendous. can appreciate its good mixed in with other stuff but DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS - you will end up with a ridiculous mess and it just doesn't come off. i do loads of natural at home beauty care but will NEVER be using this stuff again.

Only gets a lower rating because I'm very fair-skinned and... it stained my face, hand and nails black and I had to spend a good 20 mins exfoliating it off or risk a lot of awkward looks the next day. Also very messy - goes EVERYWHERE, and crumbles off your face as it dries. I don't think I noticed a huge difference (probably mostly because my skin was red raw by the time I was finished), but might be more suited to people with darker skin tones.

This is suppose to cleanse your skin, but it makes it worse! It is very difficult to wash off and you literally CANNOT get it our of your pores. It makes you look like you have a uncontrollable amount of blackheads and is very very visible, utterly embarrassing. Total waste of money, no idea how long this stuff is going to be in my pores...very unhappy and would give it a -5 if there was an option for it

Difficult to make a paste with. Packaging says use water.. DO NOT USE WATER. Talk about making the biggest mess I have ever seen in my life, not to mention I couldn't get the stuff off my face then. I tried using it with glue also.. still no luck. Honestly it's just a big waste of money and I recommend just spending the extra money to buy a ready made charcoal mask in a tube.

As described. Have used in melt and pour soap and it does seem to be good for drawing out dirt and blackheads. A little drying on maturer skin but prob good on younger, greasy prone skin. Coloring the soap black makes for a good contemporary look too.
