I bought 5 cans. I have never tried this brand but stupidly believed tuna is tuna, right? I received the cans in Aug. 2023 but just tried one today Oct. 21, 2023 - so can't get refund but that's on me, so fine. Upon opening the can, it's only half full and looks almost like wet cat food. After dumping it into a bowl and breaking it up with a fork it looks more like "normal" tuna. But then, without adding anything to it, I tasted it - YUCK! It tastes like straight salt!!! So so bad!

The brand I buy at the local health food store
UPDATE, 3/10/24: So the Safe Catch tuna arrived from Amazon on Friday. I ordered two cans and both were perfect (no dents) out of the little mailing envelope. I opened one today and ate some of the fish, plain. It is just as good as the Safe Catch canned tuna I buy at the local health food store.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This Safe Catch tuna is one of the brands of canned fish that the local health food store carries, along with Wild Planet and sundry other, higher-quality labels. I cannot comment on Amazon's stock of this tuna, but the very negative reviews here have prompted me to add my proverbial two cents.Personally, I really like Safe Catch canned fish; at least, the types that I have tried (tuna and salmon). I don't really enjoy the flavored one (in the pouch) with the lemon and dill or whatever, but the plain varieties are quite good. I will say that I prefer the cans to the foil pouches for recycling reasons. However, there is no difference in flavor between the two options that I can perceive.All that being said, the price of Safe Catch tuna is cheap enough at this listing that I will buy a can or two and comment upon the flavor (and the integrity of the cans) once they arrive. Hopefully that will add some more perspective to the general discussion here.

this is a good tasting tuna ; but I would buy it in a store where you can check out the packaging.

We got sick
We were excited to try this product but both my wife and I gad intestinal problems after eating it.

Disappointing
average taste at best. Fancy can and pricey.Read mixed reviews and decided to purchase a couple of cans to see why they varying so much.IMO this product is not worth buying. Quality is fair,as is taste. Texture on the mushy side. Not the worst but considering the price I will not be back.
