Its definitely 100 % NOT Waterproof. I bought 3 different sizes, my dogs don't have incontinence usually, but one of them pee on the larger one covering my bed twice in the past 3 weeks and both times, the urine went right through it to the underlying cover. Not happy, as I bought it on October and I cant return it now. It'[s a nice blanket, nut NOT waterproof. The other 2 sizes I bought I use on sofa and so far I haven't been able to test them, but now I am careful and will place a real waterproof blanket under them.

Q: Would this fit a queen size bed?

Yes, it just fits on top of my queen bed. There's no overhang, but it does cover the entire top of the bed.

Q: Can it be used for a picnic blanket?

It is a good idea. I think it could be used outside for picnic.

Q: Did anyone else notice a crinkle sound after they washed it as directed? My dogs refuse to lay on it now because of the noise.

My dog won’t lay on it either ! She loves blankets and is used to one being on the bed before she is allowed up . She jumped up and down in one motion. Can’t get her near it again no matter how much coaxing we do .
