I used this product on all my girls for Halloween. If you’re planning on using one color on an older child with long, thick, hair, you’re going to need more than one color comb. I used blue on my 6 year old and it wasn’t enough, while I also used red on my entire 2 year old’s head and it was. The product worked great for us for Halloween.APPLICATION: I applied to damp hair, which was easy, and then lightly hair sprayed. It does transfer onto your hands while you’re applying a little. Once it’s dry it’s rough to brush through and transfers a little onto your hands & brush but that’s expected with hair chalk.STAINING & TRANSFER: It stains skin a bit if you use enough (I used a LOT of red for my daughter’s Chucky Halloween look and her neck is lightly stained). My kids slept with it in overnight, woke up the next morning and it was still in their hair until their baths. It didn’t get on their pillowcases or sheets.

It doesn’t really show on my black hair and it was pulling my out. The comb only has chalk on four teeth on each of the five teeth combs. Looks greasy what did transfer to my hair. Probably great for kids but not for adults. It was for a costume but did not work at all

I was not upset the product didn't work for him, more disappointed. They reached out and we worked to understand my situation. They are fantastic and if the opportunity comes up, I will order more products from them.ORIGINAL REVIEW:My son wanted pink hair for Breast Cancer Awareness month. This product was recommended by friends as it worked great in their hair. My son has thick darker hair and after spending more than 20 minutes trying to apply it, you could barely see the pink. I even tried to apply it in smaller chunks of hair. If you have blonde hair, I would recommend trying it.

We tried some other chalks from a different brand before and you could hardly tell we had even put them on. We tested these on my blond hair and my daughter's very dark brown hair. The chalk showed on both our hair although little more subdued on my daughter's hair. We were really pleased with the look. The one thing we didn't really care for was the texture of our hair with it in. It makes the hair almost waxy but dry at the same time and makes the hair tangly. I suspect this would be true of most hair color products that are temporary. Overall we're having a lot of fun with them and they are great hair chalks!

I bought this to use for my 1st grader's 100th day of school when the students needed to dress up as old people. My daughter and I tested it out days in advance on my husband's blonde hair in case I would need to purchase a better product.Application was extremely simple. As he sat playing video games, we just combed the color into his hair. We used red and orange. It only took a few minutes to get enough color applied to the top of his head. It felt icky, but he looked good.There was so much color left in the two combs that I knew I would have more than enough to test out the silver, which I planned to use for my daughter. I tried applying it to the sides of his hair, but due to the length, I couldn't grip the hair well enough to see the color well. I thought length was the problem and incorrectly figured it would work well on her long hair.The 100th day came and I only started on her hair 10 minutes earlier than usual because of how easy it had been with my husband's hair. Completely different experience. I started at her temples and she immediately complained about the pulling of her hair as I tried to comb in the color. So I decided to only color her ponytail while letting her wear a hat. I used almost all of the color from the comb before I was out of time and could still barely see the silver in her brown hair. The color is very sticky or greasy, so the ponytail was just kind of dirty looking with grey highlights from certain angles.My kitchen floor and hands had more silver than her hair. I have no idea why there were silver spots on my floor, but it all cleaned up quite easily. The spots came right up with a damp mop; I didn't need to make a bucket of mop water. It washed right off my hands with a normal hand washing. The color actually did not rub off onto my daughter's shirt during the day. Both the color and the stickiness washed right out that afternoon when I shampooed her hair.Overall, even with the disappointment with the silver and it's greasy residue, I would still give it four stars. It was not suitable for real life application, but it would be great for little kids coloring their doll's hair or even each other's hair at home. The bold colors show best and they work best on blonde hair.

If your kids have blonde hair it will work somewhat, but you have to brush the comb through their hair SUPER hard to get it to show up. Even then it barely shows. I got it to show up only because I kept going though their hair so many times but it started to hurt them after a while cause you have to brush it so hard to get the chalk to show. If your kids have dark hair don't even bothering ordering this. It won't show up.

This is so much fun! I love that there are so many colors to choose from and that you can use them again and again and they wash out! It is really fun to do different colors together and make a rainbow/mermaid effect. You do have to do several passes and press firmly (I would imagine you would have to do that with any hair chalk )but it comes out pretty opaque on brown hair and blonde hair. I have used it on both and it looks really good! My daughter is so excited to do different colors and variations every day! This is such a fun package! It is like having a party in a box!

There have been so many times my kids have wanted to add color to their hair, but I wasnt about to let my elementary-age children do something permanent- these provided an awesome compromise!!! Theyre fun and easy to apply and easy to wash out! I highly recommend the Blue Squid brand, after having tried other brands that either werent as easy to apply or didnt wash out as well. You won't be disappointed in these!

Ich habe braune Haare, das wäre tatsächlich nicht das größte Problem gewesen. Die Farbe hat man im Haar gesehen. Allerdings ist die Austragung eine Katastrophe. Ich musste die Kreide total stark drücken damit überhaupt Farbe rauskommt und nach 3x durch Haar fahren war schon die Hälfte leer.
