Great value for a quality product! I had previously been buying another brand that had got to expensive! I gave these a try and was very impressed with the quality! I was able to fill my freezer with enough medicine for my family of 4 for the winter!

I was reluctant to buy the s niger European type because of fears of toxicity. But unless you grow it, dry it, buying the American sambuccus which doesn’t have the toxin, was 4 times the cost. So, after reading the heat requirements to inactivate the toxin, I felt comfortable making a new batch of syrup. All dried elderberries have a bitter taste upon hydration, (I use 3 C water per 1 C berries) but cooking with turmeric, cloves, cinnamon, ginger root, adds a great smell and taste and of course, adding wild honey for sweetness makes all the difference… one bag, hydrated, makes about 9 pints of great tasting elder syrup, which I seal up and store. I’ve tried rehydrating in both stove top and insta pot methods. I use 2 tbsp per day to thwart colds, sore throats., etc. It’s a wild tasting liquid syrup, but I like it that way. There’s also a recipe to make elder gummies.

The media could not be loaded. I've been using this product for about 6 months now and it's been extremely consistent. Very minimal stems and the products always yields great results. I make elderberry syrup and other elderberry products with this and it's been my go to. I've tried others where taste wasn't up to par or there was lots of varying color with more stems. Very happy with this product.

Boiled berries on low 20 minutes. Strained them into cup. Easily wiped berries out of pot. Added honey! Recipes for tea and syrup are on bag. It's so much cheaper than buying premade syrup!!The berries change the water to a densely saturated color. It is not like a "normal" watery tea that you can see through. Before adding the honey, the tea has an earthy kind of flat flavor. Not what one would expect from the deeply colored liquid. When the honey is added it seemed to enhance a lot of the berries subtle flavors. I enjoyed the taste. I don't enjoy overly sweet drinks or syrups, so this works great for me.For a pound of berries, the value is also great compared to others on Amazon. Quality-wise, you're always going to get a few discolored berries and tiny twigs. There aren't a lot in this bag but to think you're going to buy elderberries without getting a few of those things is crazy. It's super easy to just dig one or two out from your teaspoon when you throw it into your pot.

This time it was a gift but I also have purchased it for myself, and drink it frequently. Its good.

I make my own juice. Each 1 lb bag makes 4 batches (@ 1 cup dried berries per batch). Each batch produces 40 ounces of juice. I've found that you can buy Elderberry Juice from bee keepers but its very expensive @ $20 - $25 for 32 oz. (expensive=rip-off). I produce 40 ounces for $5.50. So lets sum this up. For each 1 lb bag of berries I produce 160 oz of juice that cost me $22. 160 ounces of juice purchased that is sold by people would cost about $110 retail. So lets see............ $22 or $110?....... $22 or $110? Hmmmmm I'll take the $22 dollar option for the same product except mine is all organic. So what would the price be for 32 oz of organic Elderberry Juice? $30 or $35 retail? LOL Save yourself a ton of money and make it yourself. it only takes a little while and it's very easy to make.

Love, love, LOVE THIS!!! This is by far the best and least expensive way to get a quality product and not go broke. All it takes is about an hour and a half of your time to make a tasty, good for you and your family medicinal syrup. I added cinnamon sticks, fresh ginger root, ground cardamom and ground turmeric. After I cooked the berries to the half reduction point, strained it into a bowl, allowed it to cool then added some organic honey. My elderly parents are taking a dose every day as well as me and my husband. Everyone loves it and it is definitely economical. It was packaged well and I will be ordering this product again. I want to make some gummies the next time. 🥰

Have made 2 batches of syrup and a tincture and still have lots left for future batches. Very good product!

I make homemade cough syrup and cough drops with this brand of Elderberry. It is in my opinion, a quality product, also a great price. I have ordered in the past and will continue to order in the future. Highly recommended 👌

Made elderberry tincture with this and have plenty lef to make elderberry tea and syrup. Product arrived in great condition and the weight was accurate. I stored the rest in a mason jar with a moisture absorber to keep it fresh. Very satisfied and would definitely recommend
