Direct replacement motherboard for an older computer
Installed this replacement motherboard in an older HP desktop that had failed. This replacement was the exact fit and part. I am happy that I was able to get the part needed to put the PC back in service. The seller, Tech on Time, provided a quality product and good value and support.

Nice small board but NOT what it claims (mini-ITX compliant).
The Good:tiny cheap motherboard.uses standard desktop memory modulestidy little project board. So cheap, it's not worth the hassle/postage to return. The badEverything else you would want out of an itx board including compatibility with itx cases.(I know, even on the HP website, THEY call it an itx and quote size as 170 x 190 mm)ITX standard is 170 mm x 170 mm. This board measures in at 198 mm x 174 mm (outside the HP spec, but.Meaning it is a Mini- DTX. A subtle but important distinction. It is a nice small board, good features, and everything you'd desire from a full motherboard thatcosts less than a raspberryPI. Unfortunately, if you were shopping for an ITX motherboard to put inan ITX case... you're out of luck. Also note, you HAVE to get a matching external power supply brick. This will NOT work with standard connection power supplies. The only way to get the magic sparks into the computer is through the DC barrel jack.(And it is an HP style non-standard barrel jack to boot)Worst of all, EVEN IF you have the right jack, there is no documentation shipped, nor on the HP sitetelling you what voltage/amperage to give it!?! The best I could find was an enthusiast sitethat mentioned it SHOULD work with a 65W / 19V HP laptop power supply. If I were a betting man, my money would be on the listed board information being pulled straight from hp's website.(which is wrong on a number of points)The seller packages the board pretty well, and got it to me early. So, 4 out 5 stars for effort and price.Guess it's time to fire up the 3d printer, make a case, and start scrounging for an HP laptop power supply. It'll just be another project, instead of a perfect drop in solution.
