I have had 14--yes fourteen--of the Foamily pillow inserts. When I first got them, I thought the overstuffing made the pillows look odd, but that was what was being sold. I was shocked yesterday when I received number 15! It came deflated and folded in half in a plastic bag--not in the usual Amazon box. It also weighed 1 ounce less which meant it was not going to be overstuffed. It wouldn't match my old inserts when pairing pillows together. Frankly, I was more than a little irritated! However, being curious I decided to try the new insert before returning it. Am I glad I did! The new insert makes the pillow look normal. I can now read the entire "Merry Christmas" on the front of the pillow. In a nutshell, I just finished ordering eight new inserts to replace ALL the old ones I currently have! The overstuffed ones will be gladly donated to charity tomorrow. Excellent job Foamily!!!

I tried these to replace the lumpy stuffing for my couch pillows since my cat sometimes has accidents on two specific pillows and washing them too often has damaged it over time. Thought them perfect since they’re water proof, but I have to use two at a time instead of one. Individually they’re super airy and provide almost zero support. But two at a time sometimes feels a bit too hard? As title says, these are much better suited for outdoor use.

I have been trying out, enjoying, and reordering these pillow inserts for years. They are all over my house in the form of decorative pillows. Mine have arrived clean and well-protected and they will store forever in their deflated form until you need them. The have a zipper and the inside is smooth fiberfill and not lumpy.Here's how this works. These are the insides of pillows. You start with a pillow cover that you have already or you bought (from Amazon). Measure the pillow cover (let's say it measures 16 x 16 inches). Order a pillow insert the same size (16 x 16 inches) if you want a floppy, soft, mostly flat pillow that is easy to insert, or order one size up (18 x 18 inches) if you want a super firm, puffy designer pillow look. I go for the latter.Then, when your pillow inserts come, unzip the pillow cover, unwrap half the pillow insert and pull the unwrapped corners deep into the far corners of the pillow cover. Then shove in the rest of the pillow as you turn the plastic inside out. Finally, put the last two unwrapped corners solidly in the closer corners of the pillow cover, hold the opening together as you zip it up it, recycle the plastic wrapping and you're done. Now enjoy your great pillows.HELPFUL HINTS: If you order pillows one size up, they are harder to insert into the pillow cover. My suggestions are:1) The pillow inserts arrive deflated = squashed down. Try to get as much of the pillow insert inside the cover as possible before it fully inflates. If you have already opened the pillow insert and let it inflate to full size, the job of inserting it is harder.2) Be careful of the pillow cover opening while installing the pillow -- when it is unzipped, there is nothing holding the fabric together, and unless you hold the seam, the fabric could tear. After it is zipped up, that seam should be plenty strong.3) As long as the four corners are stuffed tight into the four corner pockets of the pillow cover, you can fine tune the look of the pillow by molding it with your fingers or gently punching it. If the corners aren't in right, you probably have to take out the pillow insert and try again. Sigh.All this verbiage makes the mating of pillow insert and cover sound complicated. So, my criteria was based on delivery within a day, the right size and good reviews. This ticked all the boxes.Reviews for every other cushion the right size said they needed two pillow forms or were crap quality and I didn't want that for a gift cushion.I loved that these are great for outdoors as well but I haven't tested them with water. I also didn't remember to take a pic before I stuffed the cushion, but I these pics should show you how it stuffs.Also, this is one 20x20 pillow insert for an 18x18 cushion cover. Glad I saw that suggested.Only downside is I needed to purchase 4 to get the ones I wanted.I guess I'll be buying cushions for people next Christmas!

The pillows arrived more or less when they were supposed to, and as I ordered them just to have it was ok. They arrived in a quite small box and I couldn’t see it possibly holding four pillows so I was shocked to open it an find that indeed there were four *compressed* pillows inside. Once removed from the protective plastic the pillows immediately puffed right up! There is absolutely no smell that I can detect. I’m looking forward to putting them to use.

When they arrived, I was skeptical as they were sealed two pillows to a bag and looked rectangular; however, as soon as they were removed they began to puff right up. They’ve grown even more plush and full since the photo was taken as well. They aren’t fancy, but they do the job of making our outdoor living set that much cozier. Just waiting on the covers to arrive. We will not be leaving them out in the rain to test the water resistance.

I uses them mainly for display so I can't comment on their day to day comfort, but I'm content with my purchase and they have a soft fluff to them ! I'm a bit disappointed that they don't fill my pillowcases completely, but that doesn't affect my review of them.

These pillows are so comfortable! I got them for some super cute covers I got for my camper! Definitely size up if you have 18x18 covers. Go for the 20x20 pillows. They look so full! Bonus that they are mold and mildew resistant so they can live in my camper!
