I got it because I needed it for my laptop as Im starting a YouTube channel and needed extra ports for my devices...When I first got it.... I plugged in my mouse, my USB microscope, and my external sound card for my microphone/Headphones. There was a serious latency issue when using the hub. When I plugged in my headphones then spoke through my microphone there was a seriously bad delay in what I was hearing. So I restarted my computer and still had that latency issue. Finally I ran the Windows troubleshooter on the sound card and it cleared right up. So technically yes it is plug and Play but if you have a device that is not working correctly try to run the troubleshooter on it first. Once I did that this thing runs everything and I only have one wire running to my laptop now. No bad latency, no problems, fantastic unit for this price!! By the way not only do I have all that plugged in I plugged in the microphone power to one of the charging ports and will also be plugging in a USB transmitter...... Just to see how far I can push it but as of now everything is working fantastic and it is definitely worth the money for anyone that is worried about latency issues. One small drawback is I wish they had a longer power cord so I could run it further away from my socket. 8 out of 10

This 8 port Hub is particularly handy for older computers without a lot of possibility for receiving plugs (example: MacBook Air 13", a few years back, with only two or three inputs for USBs, and of course not USB-C's.I have also tested the fast charging port for a smartphone and it charges using standard fast charging speed (about 90 minutes for a full charge) which is great.All in all quite useful if you're good without USB-C inputs.

Overall, a solid hub with good power delivery and two important features.The first important feature is the detachable USB3 cord. Do you need a USB hub to use with your computer that has a USB-C port? Just get a USB-C to USB-A 3.1 cord. Plug the A side into this hub and the C side into your computer, and now you've got more USB sockets to use!The second feature is that it doesn't backfeed power into the computer. That is very important and not many hubs have that feature. (Most powered hubs will apply power to the USB sockets, but they will also send power back up the plug that connects to your computer. This can lead to crashing, phantom motherboard glowing, and all sorts of weirdness. This hub does not have that problem!)This hub saved my day. My computer's operating system got corrupted so I had to restore from a backup. So I plugged this hub into the computer. I then connected a bootable USB stick, an external 4tb hard drive, and an external 500GB SSD. I was able to boot off of the USB stick and copy hundreds of gigabytes of data between the various devices and my computer without a hitch. No weird device disconnects or anything- this hub performed flawlessly and I was back up and running in a few hours.I see some others commented that some of the USB sockets came loose after a few months of use. I just got the hub, so longevity remains to be seen. But all in all this is a definite recommended buy.

The media could not be loaded.  I followed the instructions and plugged this USB Hub into my computer. It immediately BLEW OUT my USB Port! Now my computer is completely unusable. Even after I removed the USB Hub, my computer displays an error message and then shuts off. I am so pissed off. These guys owe me another computer or the repair of the one I have. They haven't even bothered to respond to me.Save yourselves the headache. DON'T BUY THIS USB HUB. This USB Hub is bad and may damage YOUR computer.

The hub is very functional and now I do not have to keep plugging in and unplugging all my accessories constantly that require a 3.0 port. Its versatile. When I am using a heavy electrical load, I use the included 24 w adapter and spread out the load, a little more to the hub and a little less to the laptop. When I just need an extra 3.0 port, I plug it directly into my laptop. It's very versatile.. It can do several things at once. By the way, although it doesn't take a genius to realize the more accessories you plug the slower each one is going to function, but with this it is not that significant. The speed doesn't suffer much. The hub has 4 high speed 3.0 ports, a quick charging port, and lastly, a smart charging port. I have had it only 1 week, so I cannot comment on the quality of its parts nor can I comment on its durability which we all know is extremely important. I'll return in a few months and update the durability. Aiibe, so far, seems to have itself a very nice state-of-the-art hub for a very reasonable price. Let's be honest, wouldn't I be a jerk if I complained if I get one good year from it before it stopped working? Of course, I recommend it.

Bought it for a custom DJ Booth I was building - had to be a powered USB hub!! Tested it for several hours over several days connected to my MacBook with a Rane One and music library on an external hard drive on Serato DJ Pro. No issues at all. Ended up changing some specs on the booth so I didn't use it but it's good to know that I definitely still can!!Awesome product! 👏🏽👏🏽
